Our house: A cute yellow house on Lidingö, outside Stockholm. We live here: Me, My husband, Magnus, and our two boys, Harry, 11, and Henry, 6. What we do: I work as a set designer and stylist, Magnus, with retail. The kids? Skate and Pokémon, I guess.

A few floors up from Midnatt’s Stockholm showroom, you’ll find the wonderful flat of entrepreneur couple Elin Carlsten, Kristoffer Lönnström and their two children. Or, to be precise, you did before the summer. As of this writing, they have packed up their belongings for a new adventure in Mallorca. Before their departure, we had the opportunity to visit their modern lullaby of a home. As they prepare for this new chapter, their residence reflects their personal style and the dynamic lifestyle they have always cultivated as a couple. And as a family. With the sun dancing around our ankles, we had the pleasure of having breakfast at artist Johanna Pihl’s place. With hot coffee in our hands and Neil Young in our ears, we chatted about far away lion walks, c r a z y good energies, and the art of catching the end of our dreams. All in Johanna’s proper habitat, surrounded by the art that has become a natural piece of her. Johanna Pihl’s aesthetic is unquestionable. Her spiritual creativity swirls around the straightness of the design she seems drawn to, rarely and humbly. It may be a kind of ‘you have to be there to explore it’ thing to say, but trust us. It is a fantastic meeting between soft and strict expressions. We left the visit to the black 1920s villa in the Stockholm suburb of Bromma filled with soft and creative energy—a nice feeling to carry with you into the summer. It’s time to knock on a new bedroom door. This time, it belongs to Molly Nord, our humble yet strongest protector of the skin’s ecosystem. And the founder of our favorite au naturel skin care label, Betiyon. We stopped by to talk about hypnotic sleep tracks, minimalistic skin care and classic feel-good window spying. Molly and her husband Petter live in a dreamy apartment in Södermalm in Stockholm with their daughters Ilse and Beata. Everything about Molly, her home, and our visit felt as natural and kind as the caring oils she makes.
